Product Overview

The CRESTA ZS-50I is designed as a versatile research microscopy platform for laboratories requiring infinity-corrected Plan Achromatic optics and the ability to expand into specialized microscopy configurations.

The microscope features a single-mould rigid structure with a carrying window in the arm. Its Siedentopf-type viewing head is inclined at 30° and rotatable through 360°, providing an ergonomic viewing arrangement. The head is available in monocular, binocular and trinocular configurations.

A reversed inward quadruple ball-bearing nosepiece with positive click stops provides controlled objective positioning. Coaxial coarse and fine focusing is graduated to 0.002 mm, while the ball-bearing-driven mechanical stage provides X-Y movement of the slide.

The optical configuration comprises WF 10X/20 mm eyepieces and 4X, 10X, 40X S/L and 100X S/L Infinity Plan Achromatic objectives, providing 40X–1000X magnification.

A movable Abbe condenser with NA 1.25, iris diaphragm and swing-out filter holder provides illumination control. Built-in LED illumination includes intensity control and an inbuilt battery-backup facility.

The ZS-50I can also be upgraded for fluorescence, metallurgical and polarizing microscopy, allowing the platform to be adapted to specialized research requirements.
