Product Overview

The KG-1 XLA is an enhanced educational microscope designed for students progressing from introductory to more advanced biological microscopy. Its larger 110 × 110 mm fixed square stage provides a stable platform for specimen observation, while the dust-proof triple revolving nosepiece incorporates positive click stops for reliable objective positioning.

The microscope uses separate coarse and fine focusing knobs on both sides, providing greater control during focusing compared with a single focusing mechanism. Built-in LED illumination with an intensity controller allows the brightness to be adjusted according to the specimen and viewing conditions.

The optical combination comprises a 10X WF eyepiece and 4X, 10X and 40X S/L achromatic objectives, providing a 40X–400X magnification range. The 40X S/L objective is spring-loaded to help protect the objective and slide in case of accidental contact.

Optional accessories include a plano-concave mirror attachment, battery backup system, 10X pointer eyepiece, XY graduated stage and quadruple nosepiece, allowing the microscope to be adapted for different educational and laboratory requirements.
