The LABMAN BOD4000 BOD Analyzer measures biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), an environmental pollution index used to judge organic pollution in water and to evaluate the efficiency of sewage treatment plants and ETPs. It uses pressure measurement (differential pressure, manometric) in a closed system and reads BOD directly in mg/L, with up to six samples per run.

How does the BOD4000 measure BOD?

By pressure measurement in a closed system: micro-organisms consume oxygen and release CO2, which is absorbed, creating a vacuum that the BOD sensor reads directly in mg/L.

What is the measuring range and how do I choose sample volume?
