The DHP4-550 digital hotplate from Digital Heat Products is designed for safety and dependability. The device has a ceramic glass heating surface with excellent chemical resistance to acids and bases. Its metal housing allows for better heat dissipation than plastic or wood. In order to provide long life to the unit, manufacturers designed it with waterproof and anti-corrosive components to protect all internal parts of the heater. Safety features include an operator safety lock, an audible siren during over temperature events, a residual heat warning alarm for users, and a dual independent safety circuit that automatically disables the heater if it detects faults or if it overheats. The LCD visual display shows both the actual heating temperature and the programmed temperature setting. Additionally, the unit has a programmable timer that allows for 1 minute to 99 hours 59-minute intervals to be set up, to help prevent damage to samples. Units are designed to allow remote operations and preset limits to be set based on convenience and safety.
