Product Description

This chemical-resistant bottle top dispenser fits on a reagent bottle and delivers adjustable volumes quickly and repeatably, which suits repetitive dispensing of aggressive chemicals. The wetted parts are made of PTFE, FEP, borosilicate glass and PP for strong chemical resistance, and the whole dispenser can be autoclaved at 121 °C. Volume is set with an adjustment knob, and five standard adaptors let it fit common bottle necks. Four ranges are available, from 0.5 ml to 50 ml.

Frequently asked questions

Which liquids can I dispense?

It is designed for aggressive chemicals thanks to its PTFE, FEP, borosilicate glass and PP wetted parts, within the limits of 500 mbar vapour pressure, 500 mm²/s viscosity, 2.2 g/cm³ density and 40 °C. Do not use it for hydrofluoric acid, or for suspensions and liquids that crystallise, as these can block the valves. If you are unsure, send us the chemical name and we will check.

How do I choose the right adaptor?

Match the adaptor to the neck of your bottle. The five standard adaptors are 45/40, 45/32, 45/38, 32/25 and 32/28 mm.

How do I set the volume?

Set the volume with the adjustment knob and check it against the scale. After changing the setting, dispense one test volume into a waste container before you start.

How do I prime the dispenser?

Before first use, pump the piston fully up and down 3 to 5 times and discard the first dispensed volumes into a waste container until no air bubbles are visible in the cylinder.

Can it be autoclaved?

Yes, it is fully autoclavable at 121 °C. Remove it from the reagent bottle, empty it, rinse it well and let it cool fully before use.

How accurate is it and how can I check it?

Check by weighing dispensed water on a balance, using the gravimetric method of ISO 8655-5. Accuracy is best when dispensing the full set volume. Dispensers of this class are typically accurate to about ±0.5 to ±0.6 %; ask us for the data sheet for the model you need.

What are the operating limits?

Liquid vapour pressure up to 500 mbar, viscosity up to 500 mm²/s, liquid temperature up to 40 °C and density up to 2.2 g/cm³.

How do I clean and store it?

Flush it with water or a compatible solvent after use and never let crystallising reagents dry inside. When not in use, keep it upright on the bottle, or clean and dry in a clean place.

It delivers air bubbles or less than the set volume. What should I check?

Prime it again, check that the adaptor is tight and the intake tube is fully fitted and cut to the bottle height, and look for crystals or residue in the valves. Avoid liquids close to their boiling point.

Can I get a GST invoice and a bulk or institutional quotation?

Yes. Labmart supplies colleges, hospitals, pharma companies and government laboratories across India and issues a GST invoice with every order. For bulk or institutional quantities, send us the size and quantity you need and we will share a quotation.
