Frequently asked questions

What liquids can I dispense with it?

It is intended for general acids and alkalis. For organic solvents or any other chemical, send us the chemical name and concentration and we will confirm compatibility before you order.

Which bottles does it fit?

Five standard adaptors are supplied: 45/40, 45/32, 45/38, 32/25 and 32/28 mm. Pick the one that matches the neck of your bottle.

What volume range does it cover?

It dispenses 5 to 30 ml and is meant for continuous dispensing of the same reagent.

How do I prime it?

Pump the piston fully up and down several times and discard the first dispensed volumes into a waste container until no air bubbles are visible in the cylinder.

Can it be autoclaved?

Steam sterilisation is not specified for this model. Polypropylene can often take it, but please confirm with us before autoclaving. For a dispenser rated for 121 °C, see our chemical-resistant model.

How is it different from the chemical-resistant model?

The 0.5–50 ml chemical-resistant model uses PTFE, FEP, borosilicate glass and PP parts and is autoclavable at 121 °C. This 5–30 ml model is made of polypropylene for general acid and alkali use.

How can I check its accuracy?

Dispense into a weighed container on a balance and convert the weight of water to volume, as in the gravimetric method of ISO 8655-5. Do this after first setting up and at regular intervals.

How do I clean it?

Flush with water after use, never let crystallising reagent dry inside the cylinder and wipe the outside. Store it upright in a clean place.

It delivers air bubbles or less than the set volume. What should I check?

Prime it again, check that the adaptor is tight and the intake tube is fully fitted and cut to the bottle height, and look for crystals in the valves.

Can I get a GST invoice and a bulk or institutional quotation?

Yes. Labmart supplies colleges, hospitals, pharma companies and government laboratories across India and issues a GST invoice with every order. For bulk or institutional quantities, send us the size and quantity you need and we will share a quotation.
