The magnification range is 100x to 675x. It uses 10x and 15x wide-field eyepieces with 10x and 40/45x achromatic objectives, so the 10x eyepiece with the 10x objective gives 100x and the 15x eyepiece with the 45x objective gives 675x.

What slides are supplied?

The pack includes 50 prepared slides and 50 blank slides, so students can study ready-made specimens and also prepare their own.

Does it use an LED or a mirror for light?

Both are provided: an LED substage attachment with a light adjuster, and a substage mirror for natural light.

How do I focus the microscope?

Start with the lowest-power objective, bring the specimen into view with the coarse focusing knob and sharpen the image with the fine focusing knob. Then click the next objective into place and refocus using the fine knob only.

Can I use it with oil immersion?

No. The objectives listed are 10x and 40/45x dry objectives, and no oil immersion objective is included.

How do I make my own slide with the blank slides?

Place a thin specimen on a blank slide, add a drop of water, lower a cover slip at an angle to avoid bubbles and place the slide on the stage under the clips.

How should I care for the microscope?

Keep it covered when not in use, clean the lenses only with lens paper and avoid touching them. The optics have an anti-fungal, anti-reflection coating, but storing the microscope in a dry place still helps protect it.

What warranty does it have?

It comes with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty. Breakage is not covered.
