What magnifications can I get?

With the 10x wide-field eyepiece, the 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x objectives give 40x, 100x, 400x and 1000x. A pair of H6x eyepieces is supplied as an extra.

Do I need immersion oil?

Yes, for the 100x/NA 1.25 oil immersion objective. Immersion oil is not listed in the contents, so order it separately or ask us.

What kind of illumination does it have?

A 3 V LED with variable intensity control, so you can set the brightness for each objective. It runs on an AC input of 100 V to 240 V, 50/60 Hz.

What condenser does it have?

An NA 1.25 condenser fitted with an iris diaphragm and a blue filter holder.

How is the head arranged?

A binocular head inclined at 45° that rotates through 360°, so it can be positioned for different users or shared between two people.

How large is the stage and how does it move?

The stage is 120 x 140 mm with co-axial controls for X and Y movement.

How precise is the focusing?

It has separate coarse and fine knobs, and the fine focus reads up to 0.002 mm.

What is it suitable for?

It is a binocular research microscope for routine laboratory work such as histology and pathology slides, microbiology and teaching, with a stable die-cast aluminium stand.

What is included in the box?

A styrofoam moulded box and a nylon dust cover. Keep the microscope covered when it is not in use.
