Hot and Cold-Water Sterilizer – Working Principle

Hot and cold water sterilizers are two distinct methods:

• Cold water sterilization: Uses a sterilizing solution (tablets or liquid) to kill germs on items.

• Hot water sterilization: Uses heat from water (such as boiling or steam sterilization) to destroy bacteria.

For baby feeding equipment, cold water sterilization involves submerging items in a prepared solution for a set time before removing them for use or storing them in the solution until needed.

Hot water methods require boiling items directly or using a steam sterilizer, ensuring all parts are exposed to the heat.
