ABOUT ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROPHOTOMETER
Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer is an analytical instrument used to quantitatively determine metal elements in a sample by measuring the absorption of light by free atoms.
When a sample is heated (flame or graphite furnace), the metal atoms absorb light at element-specific wavelengths. The amount of light absorbed is directly proportional to the concentration of that element in the sample.
